Cinema Kabuki Movie Trailer :Sagi Musume

Starring:Bando Tamasaburo

This is a dance of breathtaking beauty. By the frozen edges of a lake appears a young woman dressed in pure white. Her dance includes strange bird-like movements as the lyrics describe her alone, drenched by the snowfall. In fact, in this life she is the spirit of a white heron. In a former life, however, she was a young city maiden, and even now she expresses the misery and bitterness of one whose love was betrayed. With several spectacular onstage costume changes, she recalls the past when she met her beloved, and when she went flower viewing at Mt. Yoshino. But her mind soon brings back the memory of her time in hell where, due to her clinging resentment, she was sent after death. In the final highlight, the lyrics describe Enma, the King of Hell assisted by hell's demons. We hear of the different chambers of hell, and the creature's hair becomes dishevelled to express her distraction as she acts out her final death throes.
