Shochiku Co., Ltd. will start streaming kabuki videos with English secondary audio guides domestically on its official online streaming service “KABUKI ON DEMAND” from March 1st, 2023.

“KABUKI ON DEMAND” enables users to discover kabuki, one of Japan’s traditional performing arts with a history stretching back over 400 years. The streaming service to 9 countries and regions abroad launched on November 2022. However, for the first time videos with English secondary audio guides will also be streamed domestically for foreign residents and visitors.

Foreign customers who are interested in Japanese culture and traditional arts, will be able to enjoy and understand the features of kabuki at reasonable prices.
